Alternate Provisions
Our Alternate Provision offers tailored education and support for young people who may struggle in mainstream school settings. Through small-group learning, practical activities, and personalised mentoring, we help students develop academic skills, confidence, and life skills. The programme aims to re-engage young people in learning, support their personal development, and create pathways for future success.

Our Outdoor Education programme uses the natural environment as a powerful space for learning, regulation and growth. Sessions are designed to support emotional wellbeing, confidence and resilience through hands-on, practical experiences outdoors.
Children and young people take part in activities that encourage exploration, teamwork, problem-solving and connection with nature. These may include bushcraft skills, caring for animals, sensory activities, environmental awareness, movement-based challenges and collaborative tasks. Learning is active and experiential, supporting those who thrive outside traditional classroom settings.
Outdoor Education at Hear2Listen is particularly beneficial for young people who experience anxiety, emotional overwhelm, behavioural challenges or disengagement from mainstream education. Nature provides a calming, grounding environment where participants can slow down, build trust and develop self-regulation skills at their own pace.
Our sessions are inclusive and flexible, adapting to individual needs and abilities. We focus on building positive relationships, self-belief and a sense of achievement — helping young people reconnect with learning, themselves and the world around them.

Our Home Education provision offers a flexible, supportive and nurturing learning environment for home-educated children and young people. We recognise that every learner is different, and our sessions are designed to meet children where they are — emotionally, socially and developmentally.
Learning is practical, experiential and relationship-led, with a strong focus on wellbeing, confidence and personal growth. Sessions may include outdoor learning, creative activities, movement, teamwork, life skills and opportunities for self-expression. This approach supports curiosity, independence and a positive relationship with learning.
Home Education at Hear2Listen is especially suited to children who have struggled in mainstream education, need a gentler pace, or benefit from smaller groups and a more flexible structure. We prioritise emotional safety, routine, and connection, helping children build trust, self-belief and social skills.
Our experienced team works closely with families to ensure sessions are inclusive, adaptable and meaningful. We aim to create a calm, encouraging space where home-educated children feel heard, valued and empowered to grow in their own way.
